Woman arrested in NLR store theft

A Mabelvale woman is accused of striking a worker as she fled from a North Little Rock crafts store with stolen merchandise, police said.

Brandy Kendrick, 31, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A North Little Rock police officer was sent to the Hobby Lobby at 4701 John F. Kennedy Blvd., where a store manager pointed to a sport utility vehicle in the parking lot. Kendrick had crouched behind the vehicle, according to a police report.

Police said she ran from officers but was eventually arrested.

Kendrick is accused of concealing merchandise in her purse, police said. She faces charges of robbery, fleeing, having drug paraphernalia and refusal to submit.

Kendrick was in the Pulaski County jail as of Thursday morning. Her bail has been set at $10,000, according to records.
