Junior guard B.J. Johnson scored the Wildcats’ final seven points to lift El Dorado over the Bruins.

Johnson hit a three-pointer with 1:39 left to break a 55-55 tie. He added a layup 22 seconds later that put El Dorado (8-10) on top 60-55.

Pulaski Academy (8-5) cut the Wildcats’ advantage to one with a field goal and two free throws by senior guard Tra Johnson, but El Dorado’s Johnson capped the scoring with two free throws with 9 seconds left.

The Bruins had a chance to tie, but a three-pointer from the top of the arc was long.

Junior Joderrio Ramey and sophomore Brendan Simmons each scored 14 points to lead El Dorado. Johnson and senior Bishop Foster each added 11 points.

Tra Johnson led Pulaski Academy with 19 points. E.J. Anderson added 10 for the Bruins.

DUMAS 62, BOONEVILLE 37

Sophomore point guard Chris Harris scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half as the Bobcats (10-6) rallied to defeat the Bearcats (14-6).

Booneville led 22-21 at the half but was held to 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting from the floor in the final two quarters.

Senior guard Kyon Smith paced Dumas with 22 points while grabbing six rebounds. Sophomore forward D.J. Russell added 11 points.

Booneville’s Logan Bradley scored 17 points and collected eight rebounds. Junior Blakely Cobb was good for 12 points and nine rebounds.

DERMOTT 64,

EPISCOPAL COLLEGIATE 62

Senior forward Alex Washington hit a lay-up at the buzzer to hand Dermott a come-from-behind victory over Episcopal Collegiate.

Junior forward Xavier Hall finished with 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks for Dermott (12-9), which trailed 58-49 with five minutes left before the Rams made their move.

Hall’s basket with 4:01 remaining started an 8-0 run to get Dermott within 58-57. The Wildcats led 62-59, but Dermott senior guard Angello Dyson drilled a three-pointer with 45 seconds left to tie the game at 62-62.
