— Mike Anderson, Anton Beard and Trey Thompson recap Arkansas' win over Missouri and preview Wednesday's road game against Florida:

Anton Beard and Trey Thompson

TT: Florida is one of the two teams me and Anton haven't beaten. If we do what we're supposed to I think we'll be alright.

AB: We've got to take it one game at a time. We know Florida is a good team.

AB: It's hard to believe how long it's been since Arkansas has won at Florida, but that's just what it is.

AB: We sometimes come out with an offensive mindset on the road and go back to the things that led to us losing.

TT: We have to come out and play together. We have to keep our poise.

AB: I don't want to put personal things (relationship with Kevaughn Allen) in front of the team. When we talk, our games against one another will be something we bring up in the future.

AB: Darious played real good last game. He does the same things in practice, and he's everywhere on the court. I've never seen someone with so much energy in my life. Coach always says to trust players, and he trusted him enough to go out and start.

AB: Daryl is a great player, and when players are locking on him he's getting around them and making plays. His IQ is really high. He's just playing ball.

TT: I'm not surprised by Daryl. He's coming more into his own. I think he's growing into his role.

AB: I think some of the offensive issues are we're tired sometimes. We get stagnant and start watching someone dribble the ball.

TT: We get stagnant when we get tired. We're not getting stops and a lot of our points come in transition, so that's something we've got to work on in practice.

AB: We've got to let Daniel and Trey touch it. Coach always preaches it. The LSU game we didn't do that. It's a big emphasis for us.

AB: Hopefully Kevaughn doesn't have his breakout game against us. He and I talked probably talked two weeks ago. We're both busy with school and ball. We're friends, but we don't have to talk every day.

-Florida lost its first game in league play at Ole Miss over the weekend. Hopefully we'll go out and play with great energy like we did against Missouri.

-I thought the last 2:30 or so of the Missouri game was some of our best defense. Chris Chiozza is playing really well for them, and so is Kevaughn Allen.

-On Daryl Macon's passing: He's developing as a player, and playing the game the right way. He's playing with passion. When a guy can make others better that makes for a more attractive player. He had some passes that weren't assists, but led to assists. We need him to play at a high level.

-C.J. Jones is pressing a little bit. He had an opportunity or two against Missouri but missed. It's not for a lack of trying. Hopefully his time to shine will come on the road this week.

-We'll see how the starting lineup goes. Mike mentioned last week he's got 7-8 starters. He didn't give anything away for Wednesday and plans to take it game-by-game.

-Mike's moment early in the first half against Missouri with Darious Hall was essentially to try to calm him down. I was trying to have some fun with him, and I think that's how he took it. He probably thought, "Coach, you're tripping."

-I think No. 1 we're not getting enough shots up. When we're in transition and getting easy buckets we're a lot better. The shots will start falling. We've got to get to the point where we're taking better shots.

-We've just got to keep working on the free throws. Free throws are personal, and we spend a lot of time on them. We put them in different game scenarios in practice. They've got to have the calmness at the line.

-On having 4 of the next 5 SEC games on the road: We have a race. I always talk about our team getting better. It tells you a lot about your guys when you go on the road. Hopefully we can get better from it.

-We've got some guys that are struggling, too, so Kevaughn Allen's struggles aren't surprising. I don't know what his troubles stem from, but let's hope it's not his next game that he goes off.
