It's the second Friday of the month and, at downtown Little Rock museums, that means 2nd Friday Art Night, 5-8 p.m. Friday. At the Old State House Museum, 300 W. The Arkansas League of Artists Members' Show goes on display with a reception, 5-8 p.m. Friday at Matt McLeod Fine Art Gallery, 108 W. The exhibit, consisting of drawings, watercolors, oils, mixed media and pastels, chosen by juror Matthew Lopas, professor of art at Hendrix College, will be on display through Aug. 24. During the sale in the CALS Main Library's basement, 100 Rock St., Little Rock, paperbacks are 50 cents and hardbacks are $1, with further discounts for school teachers and librarians. Ozark Folk Center State Park's Craft Village, 1032 Park Ave., Mountain View, stays open late for a Handcrafted Evening in the Park, 6-9 p.m. Friday. The park's staff of craftsmen will be hard at work making pots, candles, jewelry and other items. Craft Village admission is free for this event; a shuttle will run visitors from the lower lot to the village. Break out the lawn chairs and relax in a historic setting for some Music in the Park, 7:30-9 p.m. Saturday at Historic Washington State Park.
