A Little Rock woman was hospitalized Saturday after a residence caught fire.
Firefighters were dispatched to 81 Broadmoor Drive at 4:19 p.m. after someone called in flames visible from the front door of the residence, Capt. Jason Weaver of the Little Rock Fire Department said.
One woman was hospitalized with minor burns on her legs, Weaver said.
Five people will be displaced because of the fire, which fully engulfed and destroyed the brick residence, he said.
Neighbors crowded along the sides of the street while firefighters worked in already sweltering temperatures to put out the flames. Weaver said the flames and the temperature necessitated multiple crews’ response.
