1 BAKLAVA

Baklava, gyros, a new "It's All Greek to Me" combo (gyro sandwich and Greek fries covered in feta, herbs and lemon juice) and Greek-inspired Loblolly Creamery ice cream flavors are on the menu for the 34th annual International Greek Food Festival, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1100 Napa Valley Drive, Little Rock. Admission is $3 or three canned food items for the Arkansas Foodbank, free for children under 12, with free parking at and trolley service from neighboring church parking lots. 2 BALLET

A cast of more than 100 will be onstage as Arkansas Festival Ballet stages Beauty and the Beast, with choreography and staging by Artistic Director Rebecca Miller Stalcup and music by Pierre Adenot, Alan Menken and Japanese singer-songwriter Kamijo, 7:30 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre, in MacArthur Park, 501 E. Ninth St., Little Rock. Anna Gaydos and Bella Marbaise divide the role of Belle, with Ballet Arkansas company members Zeek Wright as the Beast, Paul Tillman as Gaston and Meredith Short Loy as Plumette. 3 BURGESS

The Butler Center for Arkansas Studies will host a tribute to Sonny Burgess, 7 p.m. Friday at the Ron Robinson Theater, 100 River Market Ave., Little Rock. The tribute will begin with a screening of Nathan Willis' documentary about Burgess, Arkansas Wildman, followed by a performance by his longtime band, the Legendary Pacers. Doors open at 6. 4 BEDRAGGLED

Things will get a bit untidy in downtown Little Rock as the Museum of Discovery hosts its annual Messtival, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, 500 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock. Kids can make all the messes they want and learn at the same time as they take part in activities such as the Human Car Wash, the Mud Kitchen and the Giant Slip 'n' Slide. 5 BRASS ETC.

The Little Rock Wind Symphony's "Sunday Samba" program focuses on music that expresses motion and dance, 3 p.m. Sunday at Pulaski Height United Methodist Church, 4823 Woodlawn Drive, Little Rock, part of its Diversions chamber concert series. The program will feature works for clarinet sextet, clarinet quintet and brass quintet, plus pieces for soprano saxophone, clarinet and accordion and alto flute and classical guitar. Voice finalist and Marion native Barrett Baber performs at 7 p.m. today in Riceland Auditorium, Grand Prairie Center, Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas, 2709 U.S.165 South, Stuttgart. Bald Knob native and Stuttgart resident Anna Marie opens the show. 7 BEETLES

Downtown Heber Springs will be hopping during the annual Springfest, noon-8:30 on Friday and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, including arts and crafts, music, a petting zoo and a Volkswagen show in Spring Park, 301 Sugarloaf St.; on the Courthouse Square, 300 block of Main Street; and additional locales throughout the city. 8 BLOSSOM

Arts and crafts, music, fishing, a race and a lot of steak will make for a packed weekend at the Magnolia Blossom Festival in downtown Magnolia. The annual festival includes a craft beer tasting, Baggo tournament, magic shows, and the World Championship Steak Cook-off. 9 BULL SHOALS

Get out and unplugged by celebrating National Kids to Parks Day in the great outdoors Saturday. State parks across Arkansas, including Lake Ouachita State Park in Mountain Pine and Bull Shoals-White River State Park at Bull Shoals, will celebrate the day with special programs and activities. 10 BRAVURA

The Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View showcases some fancy fingerwork over Thumbpicking Weekend, Friday-Saturday. Friday will feature a matinee concert with Evan Twitty in the Craft Village, 2-3 p.m., and a concert with Twitty, Danny Dozier, Randy Bucker and All Star Jam, 7 p.m. in the Auditorium. Saturday, spectators can watch competitions in the Auditorium starting at 2:15 p.m. and concerts with Pat Kirtley and Thom Bresh at 7 and 8 p.m., respectively. There will also be special workshops.
