1 PAST AND PRESENT

Little Rock's biggest music festival is back, and back on Memorial Day weekend as RiverFest returns, under new administration, 2-11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Headliners include Tracy Lawrence, Kip Moore, Jamey Johnson and Peter Frampton, playing at the First Security Amphitheater and the Clinton Presidential Center, near the east end and at the west end, respectively, of President Clinton Avenue in Little Rock. Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m. Friday. Multi-day passes are $65 for unlimited re-entry, $50 for no re-entry. 2 PROGENY PLAY

RiverFest isn't all music. The Ford Family Fun Zone will feature carnival rides and performances, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. There will also be an appearance by Disney's Skai Jackson, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Tickets during Family Hours are $5 for children 5-12, free adult admission with a paid child ticket. 3 PAN-AFRICAN PARTY

Experience the tastes, sounds and sights of African culture at the Africa Day Fest, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday on Main Street between 13th and 16th streets in Little Rock. 4 PAINTINGS ETC.

The work of 46 artists from the Mississippi Delta region forms the 60th annual Delta Exhibition, Friday-Aug. 26 at the Arkansas Arts Center in MacArthur Park, 501 E. Ninth St., Little Rock. 5 PARK HILL PATIO

Musicians, vendors and food trucks will gather on the parking lot of Lakehill Shopping Center, 3816 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, for the Park Hill Business and Merchants Association's Patio on Park Hill, 5-10 p.m. today. The musical lineup: on the stage, Jamie Lou and Hullabaloo, the Wildflower Revue and Dazz & Brie; in the Beer Garden, Ben Byers, Joe Darr and Brian Nahlen. Sponsor is Arvest Bank. Admission is $3, free for children 12 and younger; dogs are welcome but must be licensed and leashed. 6 POTLUCK & POISON IVY

Five local artists-turned-storytellers, including Rah hoWard and Kevin Kresse, will tell short stories -- six minutes, 40 seconds total per -- showing 20 slides at 20 seconds apiece for the Potluck & Poison Ivy's inaugural "Pecha Kucha" night, 7 p.m. today at The Joint, 301 Main St., North Little Rock. Women's barbershop quartet Treble in the Village will also perform. Tickets, $35, include dinner and the show; there will be a cash bar. 7 PRODUCTION PASSING

Southern Fried Nuptials by Little Rock native J. 9 'PERIOD' PIECES

Pay a visit to the Mid-America Science Museum in Hot Springs to say hello to some prehistoric behemoths at the Oaklawn Foundation DinoTrek. The new permanent exhibit will feature dinosaurs from the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods on the museum's grounds. The exhibit preview, Dinos and Donuts, is 9 a.m. Saturday. 10 PASSION PLAY

A cast of more than 150 performers, plus horses, donkeys, birds, camels, a Pharaoh Hound and dozens of birds turn a 550-foot historically accurate stage into the Holy Land as the The Great Passion Play opens its 50th season at 935 Passion Play Road in Eureka Springs. Showtimes: 8:30 p.m. Friday-Sunday this weekend; 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday performances run June 5-Aug. 14; all performances shift to 7:30 p.m. after Labor Day, through Oct. 27.
