Calvin Beeles, 83 of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at his residence. He was born on July 14, 1927 in Great Valley, New York; he was the son of Carl Beeles & Isabel Senear Beeles. Calvin was a retired dairy farmer, & a retired lift truck driver for Regal Inc, as well as a United States Army Veteran serving in the later portion of WWII; he was an honorary member of the Jacksonville Roadrunners, a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, and will be remembered by his family for his love of working on and repairing lawn mowers, and the fact that he never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Alfred Beeles. Survivors include his wife of 57 years Anna Beeles, who he married on November 29, 1952 in Knapp Creek, New York; children, Christine Beeles of Louisville, Ky.; Deborah Toennies & husband Don of Jacksonville; Kenneth Beeles & wife Cathy of Great Valley, N.Y.; Lawrence Beeles of Jacksonville; and Amy Strohmeyer and husband Ken of Wilsonville, Ore.; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, and two brothers Edward Beeles of Killbuck, N.Y. & Floyd Beeles of Great Valley, N.Y. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood with Dr. Tom Babington officiating, entombment will follow in the Rest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum in North Little Rock.
