Corine Shinall Stewart, age 79 of Fordyce died Thursday September 30, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born April 19, 1931 in Calhoun City, Miss. Corine was a longtime checker at Mad Butcher and Friendly Foods and known to most as "Granny". She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Fordyce. She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Shinall, her mother, Bessie Lester Slawson; three brothers, Frankie Shinall, Clinton Shinall, and Calvin Shackleford; one sister, Ester Mae Miller and one nephew Billy Paul Shackleford. She is survived by one son, Scotty Stewart and wife Beverly of Fordyce; one daughter, Sharon Stanfill Dunn (Tony) of Fordyce; one grandson, Bo Stewart of Fordyce; one granddaughter, Mandi Stanfill of Fordyce; and one great-grandson who was the love of her life, Brighten Stanfill of Fordyce; one sister, Ruby Kelly of Albuquerque, N.M.; three nieces and three nephews. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike White and Rev.
