Helen Henderson Kimbro

Helen Henderson Kimbro, 78, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Granbury Church of Christ. Burial: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Wiley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Christian Service Center associated with Granbury Church of Christ. Helen was born Feb. 21, 1932, in Electra, Texas, to John C. "Jack" Henderson and Kathryn "Kitty" Greer Henderson. She married Charles "Chuck" Kimbro, June 5, 1955, in Electra. Helen graduated from North Texas State University and was a member of Chi Omega. She taught school in Fort Worth at the Luella Meritt Elementary School for several years in the early 1950's. She had lived in DeCordova since 1991 and was a member of Granbury Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Richard Henderson. Survivors: husband, Charles "Chuck" Kimbro of DeCordova; son, Van Kimbro and wife, Brenda, of Irving; daughter, Elaine Pruett and husband, Joe, of San Antonio; grandchildren, Ryan and Becky Kimbro, Kelli and Kris Liska, Seth Pruett, Parker Pruett, Cooper Pruett; sister, Elaine Willson and husband, Bill, of Granbury.
