Donald Lee Logue, age 80, of Richardson, Texas passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2010 from the arms of his family to the loving arms of His Lord and Savior. He was born on Sept. 28, 1930, in Fayetteville, Ark. to Raymond Logue and Earle Drake Logue. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary; his children, David Logue, (Allen, Texas) and his wife Martha, and Susan Logue, (Richardson, Texas); five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Don is also survived by his brother Jim Logue and his wife Kathy of Fayetteville, Ark. Don graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1948 where he was a three sport athlete. He was an All-State quarterback in football, an All-State guard in basketball where he was on a state championship team and set the state pole vault record in track which stood for several years. Don attended the University of Arkansas and was a three sport athlete lettering in football, basketball and track. He was also the intramural middleweight boxing champion at the U of A. He served in the Navy for 1 1/2 years, stationed at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, Calif. While there he quarterbacked N.T.C to the Naval District Championship earning All-Navy QB and All-Service QB. He returned to the U of A where he earned his business administration degree in 1956. He was a resident of Richardson, Texas for over 40 years and was self employed in the insurance business for 58 years. Don was a member of Chase Oaks Church, formally Fellowship Bible Church, where he was an elder for 32 years. He also hosted a men's bible study in his home every Saturday morning for 38 years. Don enjoyed his family, friends, sports, reading, and going to the movies. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation/viewing for Don on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas and a memorial service on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Chase Oaks Church in Plano, Texas.
