Greg Cheek, 59, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, in San Antonio after a long battle with chronic lymphatic leukemia. He is survived by his daughter, the love of his life, Dresden Cheek; his stepson, Justin Schrimpsher ( Emily); stepdaughter, Briahna White (B.J.) and stepmother, Fran Cheek, all of San Antonio; sister Janice Anderson (Chuck) of Kerrville, Texas; brother Daniel Cheek (Leah) of Bentonville, Ark.; aunts Louise Perry of Carlisle and Theresa Gresham (James) of Little Rock. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Charles Cheek and mother, Ruth (Squires) Cheek; uncles Gordon Squires and Alfred Squires. He had 11 nieces and nephews, as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins, who loved him very much. Greg loved life. He was an avid fisherman, scuba diver and skier. He loved his family and his God, Jehovah. He had strong faith in Christ and the resurrection hope at John 5:28,29. Memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 8 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 15270 Huebner Road, San Antonio, Texas.
