Eloise Juanita Jones

Eloise Juanita Jones, 88, died October 3, 2010. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. She was active in the Heifer Project International, Habitat for Humanity, and the Fairview United Methodist Church Chancel Choir. She was president of the United Methodist Women two times, president of the Wesleyan Service Guild three times, communion steward for many years, and was president of her Sunday school class. She was chosen by her jurisdiction in 1973 to be a delegate to Cincinnati, Ohio Assembly of United Methodist Women. She will be fondly remembered as an avid quilter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Broadnax; her husband, Ed Jones; a brother; Lamar Walker, and her parents, Clifton L. and Ruth M. Jones Walker. She is survived by a sister, Helen Fogle of Camden, Ark,; a son, James R. Broadnax along with his wife, Joe, of Phoenix, Ariz., and their children, Bobby Broadnax of Phoenix, Ariz. (along with his children, Brice and Chase Broadnax of Phoenix, Ariz.) and Cathey Jones of Fontana, Calif. and her husband, D.J. (along with her son, Irie Jones, also of Fontana, Calif.), another son, Clifton Broadnax of Camden, Ark. (and his son, Charles Broadnax of Crowley, Texas along with his children, Hank Broadnax and Ben Broadnax, also of Crowley, Texas); and a special caregiver, Beverly Page. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be Wednesday, 2:00 at Fairview United Methodist Church.
