Jacob McGarity

Jacob McGarity, 31, of Alexander, Arkansas, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010. He was born September 19, 1979, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, grew up in North Carolina and moved to Little Rock in 2004. Jacob was a graduate of Pulaski Technical College and was a dedicated employee of Sprint Communications. He enjoyed working with all types of electronics and always had to have the newest gadgets. Jacob was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Little Rock. With his great sense of humor, funny and outgoing personality, he loved making others laugh. He was a wonderful father and worshipped the ground his daughter, Isabella, walked on. A loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, he will be deeply missed. Survivors include his wife of five years, Theresa "Reese" McGarity; his daughter, Isabella Li McGarity; his mother, Elaine Howard of Conway; one brother, Josh McGarity and wife Martha of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; grandparents, Herma and Jess McGarity and Thomas Tidwell, all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; in-laws, Yolanda and Dwayne Bradford of Lonoke, Arkansas; and two brothers-in-law, Ben Bradford of Lonoke, Arkansas, and Jessie Bradford and wife Shannon of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his father, James McGarity; step-fathers, Kevin Greene and Mike Howard; and grandmother, Sunny Tidwell. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas (501-455-1067). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, October 7, 2010, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6219 Baseline Rd., Little Rock, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A reception for family and friends will be held at p.m. at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
