J.W. Burel Ethridge of Bryant, Arkansas passed away October 5, 2010 from complications related to COPD. He was born in Willson, Arkansas to the late William and Jessie Ethridge. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Teletype/AT&T. J.W. was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. He was also active in the Alumina Lodge, a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In earlier years, J.W. enjoyed traveling with friends and family, woodworking and attending craft shows with his wife. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved his wife, children and grandchildren and lived a full, blessed life. J.W. will be missed by all who knew him. J.W. was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae; his parents; two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by four daughters, Rita (Robert) Fleming of Little Rock; Linda (John) Fiore of Christoval, Texas; Bettie Casey of Heber Springs and Renee (Raymond) Hunter of Bryant; eight grandchildren, Stephanie McBee; SSgt. Brett McBee; Melodye VanCleave; Paden Casey; Josh Hunter; Anthony Fiore; Clint Filore; Michael Fiore; nine great grandchildren, Bekah and Zac VanCleave; Hayden, Jaxon and Riley Hunter; Kate and Justice McBee; Amelia and Sophia Fiore; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Special thanks to his Mt. Carmel Community family for enhancing the last year of his life. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2010 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209 (501) 455-5800. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
