Kay Janssen Emery, 74, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born at home on June 11, 1936 in Lorraine, Kansas to Leland Janssen and Verna Melchert Janssen. She worked in advertising at Dayspring for over 20 years. She enjoyed volunteering in organizations such as political campaigns and pro-life movements. She loved her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed helping others, working in her garden and spent lots of time reading her Bible. She was preceded in death by her parents. Kay is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Richard Ray Emery; one son, Jeff Emery of Colcord, Okla.; two daughters, Kristin Stewart and husband Jeff of Siloam Springs, Ark., Kerry Pruett and husband Peter of Cincinnati, Ark.; two brothers Armand Janssen and wife Nancy of Cabot, Ark., Russell Janssen and wife Linda of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister Carol Matheuzik and husband Rudie of Austria; and seven grandchildren. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs, Ark. A celebration of Kay's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Outreach Center in Siloam Springs, Ark.
