Elsie M. Young Trickey, 91, of Olive Branch, Miss., formerly of Sherwood, Ark., passed away on October 4, 2010, at her home. She was born September 29, 1919, in Humphrey, Ark. She was a member of Indianhead Lake Baptist Church and Dorcas Sunday School Class. As a member of the Sherwood Senior Citizen Center she enjoyed volunteering and having fun and fellowship with all of her friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Louisa Benson, her husbands, Breece A. Young, Sr., Robert E. Johnson, and C. Vance Trickey, and her only son, Breece A. Young Jr. She is survived by her daughter-n-law, Sandy Young, of Tupelo, Miss., grandchildren, Lori (John) Swaffer, of Olive Branch, Miss., Sheri (Lloyd) Sullivan, of Southern Pines, N.C., and Jim (Meredith) Young, of Memphis, Tenn., Shannon (George) Pratt, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Mitch (Mary Ashley) McNeely, of Hernando, Miss. She is also survived by her precious great-grandchildren, Alex, Hannah, Spencer, Mason, Jared, Lawson, Olivia, and Mitchell along with nieces and nephews and a host of friends including her friend of 47 years, Dorothy Warren. A special thanks to Jamie Starks for your unwavering friendship and devotation over the years. She was comforted in the end by her close friend Becky McCollum and caregiver Rena Walls. Visitation services will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Roller Owen Funeral Home and Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10 a.m.., with Brother Warren Watkins officiating.
