Opal Jordan

Opal Jordan, 93, of England, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Monday, October 4th, 2010, at England Manor Nursing Home. She was born Friday, August 24th, 1917 to George and Claire Bright in Decatur County Tennessee. She was the oldest of three children. In 1925 she married George Jordan and they had four children. She worked at various department stores in England, Carlisle, Scott and the Little Rock area. She retired, after 21 years from Weingartens as a department manager, and then traveled throughout the United States and Spain. Opal was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children Joe D. Jordan, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Peggy Teeter of Kansas City, Kansas; Tena Johnson and her husband Orelon of Coy, Arkansas; and Danny R. Jordan of Largo, Florida. Visitation will be Friday, October 8th, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller England Funeral Home (501) 842-3939. Services will be at Roller England Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 9th, 2010. Services will be conducted by her nephew, Rev. Roy Matlock. She will be laid to rest in Tomberlin Cemetery at Coy, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Joe D. Jordan, Orelan Johnson, Wade Johnson, Scott Ward, Chance Johnson and Louis Soule.
