Doug Morris

Doug Morris, age 55, of DeSoto, Kansas, and previously of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away on Oct. 9, 2010 at Hillside Village Nursing Home. Graveside Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 12 at the Bonner Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak St. Bonner Springs, Kan. 66012. Doug was born on November 7, 1954 in Wichita, Kan. to Robert and Eunice Morris. Graduated from Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, Colo. in 1974. He had worked at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Mary Jeanne Hitt Morris, one brother, Steven L. Morris, one sister, Deborah J. Morris and one nephew, Joshua Luke. Survivors include two sisters, Julie Jordan and husband Ron of Siloam Springs, Ark., Sonja Luke and husband Lawrence of Bonner Springs, Kan., two nephews, three nieces, three great-nieces, and two great-nephews.
