Joel A. William

Joel A. Williams, 73, of Jonesboro, formerly of Flint, Michigan, went to be with his Lord on October 9, 2010. He was born on July 18, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of the late Joe Russell and Lottie Marie Green Williams. He was a retired tool and die maker and loved woodworking and collecting tools. He was a member of Pocahontas Missionary Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves. He was preceded in death by his father in 1965 and his mother in 2006. He is survived by three daughters, Lana and her husband Kevin Bentley of Swartz Creek, Michigan, Leta and her husband Michael Luurtsema of Ludington, Michigan, and Rebecca Williams of Flint, Michigan; five grandchildren Jim and Tom Bentley, Jana, Aaron and Jason Luurtsema; loving friend Mary Brown of Little Rock; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at McPherson Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, (501) 455-5800.
