Lavada P. Waller

Lavada P. Waller, 67 of Conway, died Friday, October 9, 2010. Lavada was born April 8, 1943 in Vilonia, Ark. to the late Thomas Willie and Lora Angela (Allen) Henley. She is also preceded in death by sisters Nancy Lee Lester and Dollie Henley. Mrs. Waller worked at Ward Body Works and retired from Hendrix College after 17 years of service. She was a member of Oak Bowery Baptist Church. She is survived by husband Thomas E. Waller, sons Rick Waller and Michael Waller (Shonda Davis), both of Conway; grandsons Justin Waller and Alex Davis; granddaughters Lauren and Kasey Waller, and Makayla Davis; sisters Wanda Jean Bales of Canon City, Colo., Valrie Lauder of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Addie Mae Danehower of Kansas, Okla.; and many nephews and a niece. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2010 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Liberty Cemetery, with D.J. Waller, John A. Frego, Donnie Cook, Benny Carl Butler, Tommy Merritt, Robbie Horton, Marlin Bales, and Wesley Bridges serving as pallbearers.
