Deal Layton Dunn

Deal (Layton) Dunn 75, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at his home. he was born June 20, 1935 at Conway, Arkansas to Clyde & Ruby (Vaden) Dunn. He was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran. Before retiring, Layton and Shirley owned Clinton Livestock Auction for over 30 years He loved the cattle business. He spent days and many nights buying, selling, hauling and working cattle. He loved the people in the business and had many friends. He had a good partner and helper, his wife Shirley. He was a member of Botkinburg Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Joey Dunn, and his parents Clyde and Ruby Dunn. He is survived by his wifeof 53 years, Shirley M. (Holmes) Dunn of the Clinton, one daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Paul Rhoda of Clinton; four grandchildren, Kya, Kohlton, Kobin, and Klay Rhoda, one brother and sister-in-law, Wylie and Jo Ann Dunn of Searcy. Pallbearers: Paul Rhoda, Kya Rhoda, Dan Eoff, Johnny Smith, George Sowell, and Jerry Milspaugh. Honorary Pallbearers: Kenneth Guffey, Joe Yarbrough, Bud Guyot, Alex Galligan, John Hudson, and Bill Isom. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas. Officiating Brother Lanny Younger. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery Conway, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.
