Shirley Ann Bennett

Shirley Ann Bennett age 74 of Arkadelphia passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010. She was born in Gurdon October 9, 1936 the daughter of George P. and Luella H. Williams. She retired from the meat department at Piggly Wiggly and Harvest Foods. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Jana Bennett Timothy, two brothers, Carl and Ernest "Red" Williams, and three sisters, Adell Wright, Georgia Henry, and Margaret Wright. Survivors include her husband of 56 years Bobby Dale Bennett, one son, Michael Bennett, one granddaughter, Maria Timothy all of Arkadelphia, one son-in-law Patrick Timothy of Hot Springs, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens near Arkadelphia with Rev. Larry Bloomfield officiating. Mrs. Bennett will lie in state at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home from 1-5 p.m., Friday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Sign on line guest book at www.ruggleswilcox.com.
