Margaret Adcock of Arkadelphia died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 in Little Rock. She was born Margaret Elizabeth Milloway to the late Onnie Homer Milloway and Mary Sue Corder (nee Rutherford) on April 3, 1938. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Patrick Adcock; a daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Wayne Neel all of Arkadelphia; a grandson, Luke and wife Lacey of Bryant; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Neel, and a sister-in-law, Pam Thomas both of Arkadelphia. Margaret was a student in the public schools of Gurdon and Batesville and was a 1956 graduate of Camden High School. She attended Arkansas State Teachers College (University of Central Arkansas) and studied computer science at Henderson State University. Before her marriage, she was employed by Southwestern Bell at Little Rock. For ten years, she was a housewife, until returning to work when her husband entered graduate school. She was secretary for the English department at Fayetteville High School, secretary to the Director of the Honors Program at East Texas State University (Texas A & M at Commerce), to the Dean of the School of Science and Mathematics and to the Director of the Office of Computer and Communication Services at Henderson State University. She retired from HSU in 1997 after 25 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia from 1970 until her death. Memorial Services will be 2, Tuesday, Oct. 19 at the First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia with the Rev. Carroll Jackson and Dr. William Durand officiating.
