Ocie M. Knight

OCIE M. KNIGHT, 93, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Oct. 15, 2010, in Little Rock, Ark. She was born March 17, 1917, in Hope, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Willie Rhea Ward; her husband, James L. Knight; and son, James E. Knight. She is survived by her sons, Dr. John (Kay) Knight of Wellington, Ohio, David Knight of North Little Rock; daughters, Elizabeth (David) Kaufman of North Little Rock; Sherry (Butch) Strasner of Katy, Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was a member of North Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Although she led a very simple life, her legacy will live on in all those who knew her. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 (501-791-7400), with Brothers Robert Wirges and Jake Osburn officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark.
