Wayne R. Beaumont

Wayne R. Beaumont, 67, of Fairfield Bay, died Thursday morning, Oct. 14, 2010, at Ozark Health Medical Center in Clinton, Ark. Born in Woodstock, Va., Wayne lived in Trumann before moving to Fairfield Bay 10 years ago. He was a longtime coach, educator and school administrator and lived several years in northeast Arkansas before retiring. Wayne was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was a life member of the Fairfield Bay VFW where he served as Commander in 2002. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Bay where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was a Fairfield Bay Ambassador. Survivors include his wife, Connie Ascurra Beaumont of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Susan Beaumont of Oxford, Miss., Steven and Denise Beaumont of Yorktown, Va., and Kevin and Rebecca Beaumont of Trumann; one brother, Phil Beaumont of Smithville, N.C.; one sister, Barbara Bancroft of Richmond, Va.; and six grandchildren: Monica, Rachel, Tyler, Zachary, Hannah and Leah Kate Beaumont. A memorial service will be held Monday morning at 11 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Bay. Wayne's body was donated to medical science.
