On October 19, 2010, God whispered to Evelyn Herbert "Come with me." She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, October 31, 1920, the daughter of the late John F. Schilling and Margaret Katherine (Findley) Schilling. Evelyn married Adolph Kotlarz on August 21, 1943 and had two children. Evelyn's first husband preceded her in death in 1959, and she later married Ralph Herbert. They resided in Kenosha, Wisconsin, until 1984, then moved to Arkansas to be with their family. Evelyn was a devout Catholic, a child of the depression, a war bride, a beloved Mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by her family, friends and the staff at Stonehaven Assisted Living, where she had resided for the last few years. She is survived by her son, Jack Kotlarz, and daughter Kathy Mathiowetz and their spouses, Judy Kotlarz and Michael Mathiowetz. Five grandchildren, Craig Mathiowetz, Beth Mathiowetz, Erin (Kotlarz) Sandifur, Amy Kotlarz and Kellie (Kotlarz) Rawn. Four great-grandchildren, Will Sandifur, Riley Mathiowetz, Madeline Mathiowetz, Elisabeth "Libby" Rawn; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Langston of Shreveport, Louisiana; Fidel Crow in Pleasanton, California and Johnette Bailey of Little Rock. Rosary will be 5:30 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2010, in the chapel of Roller-McNutt McNutt Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, entombment will follow in Riverwood Mausoleum, Maumelle, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway. 501-327-7727.
