Ranzlo "R.L." Huff

Ranzlo "R.L." Huff, born August 21, 1920, passed away on Oct. 22, 2010, in Woodlawn Nursing Home. A life long resident of Batesville, raised in the Spring Mill area. He was the youngest of six children. A WWII Veteran, sacrificing 3 years of service for his country in the armed services. A Tech-Sergeant, in Company L, 300th Infantry, 89th. Field Artillery Battalion of the U.S. Army and attached to the 3rd Marine Division while serving in the Pacific Theater. He was wounded in action on the Island of Siapan and later received an Honorable discharge, on Jan. 13, 1946. Survivors include two sons; Bobby and wife Milesa Huff of Searcy; Richard C. and wife Michelle C. Huff of Evening Shade; two daughters, Terry Landers of Batesville; Debbie and husband Dave King of Batesville. Services, Sunday October 24, 2010 at 2:30, at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel. Burial, Oaklawn Cemetery, Batesville. Visitation, Saturday 4 to 6. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Old Independence Regional Museum in Batesville or the Wounded Warrior Project.
