William Gill Suitor, age 83, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. He was born on Jan. 3, 1927 in Arkadelphia, the son of the late James Elliot and Stella Gill Suitor. Bill was preceded in death by a son, Mark Suitor. He worked as a butcher and owned a grocery store for many years. Bill was a United States Army veteran and attended First Baptist Church in Bismarck. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping at Lake DeGray and Lake Greeson. Bill considered sitting around the campfire with family and friends a treat. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and loved family gatherings especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Bill loved his little dog, "Peewee", and he made going for walks and playing with him priorities. He is survived by his wife Doris Hazel Thomason Suitor of Arkadelphia; two daughters, Gail (Randy) Marshall of Bismarck and Teresa (Richard) Thomas of Gurdon; one son, Bobby (Dorinda) Suitor of Arkadelphia; eight grandchildren, Darren and Dustin Suitor, Keith Fairchild, Ross Burroughs, Bryan Cardwell, Zach Myers, Nick Flora and Carson Gaines and 13 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Arkadelphia with Bro. Jeremy Greer officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday at Welch Funeral Home. Bill's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Bismarck, Ark. 71929.
