Willie Davis

WILLIE DAVIS, 73, of Jacksonville died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010. He was born Dec. 13, 1936 in Tyronza, Ark., to the late Bill and Lizzie Shepherd Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired diesel mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Davis and a sister, Josephine Brown. He is survived by one son, Michael W. Davis and three daughters and two sons-in-law: Lisa A. Faulkner and husband Wayne of Beebe, Cheryl L. Winkler and husband Charlie of Alexander and Chelsea D. Davis of Jacksonville as well as one brother Bill Davis and wife Norma of Calico Rock, a sister, Julie Thornberry of Benton, one stepson, Wilbur Yates of Lonoke and four grandchildren: Lindsey Brooke Faulkner, Fayden Davis, Riley Davis and Will Yates III. In addition, Willie leaves many extended family members and wonderful friends to cherish his memory. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010 in the chapel of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Roy Shreckhise officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501)982-2136. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
