Gilbert Martin Tiller, 88, of Little Rock, died October 24, 2010. Born November 29, 1921 in Oakvale, West Virginia, he was the son of Samuel Martin Tiller and Lelia Morris Tiller. He was happily married for 63 years to Hazel Thomas Tiller until her death in October of 2009. He was adored by and survived by daughter, Dorcas Tiller of Little Rock, sister-in-law, Oretha Toland of Conway, sister-in-law, Katherine Tiller of Sebring, Florida, and nieces Judy Sprinkle, Susan Williamson, Sandy Norris and Barbara Fisher. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist and was an accomplished musician, playing trumpet and guitar for many years with the Tommy Scott Orchestra. He proudly served his country in France during WWII, and was a member of the 66th division orchestra. He was a retired bookkeeper for Farmers Association. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday at Pine Crest Memorial Park with Rev. Blake Bradford, officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th. St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111.
