Sue Short

Sue Ann Jordan-Short, 73 of Little Rock passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Baptist Health Systems in Little Rock; she was born on August 2, 1937 in Piqua, Ohio; she was the daughter of John S. Jordan Sr. and Helen Johanna Decker-Jordan. Sue was a homemaker, who will be remembered by her family for her great love for spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling with her best friend Mary Vaught, going to casinos, and her swimming club at Baptist, and her card club with all her friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Dean Short, her parents, her brothers John A. Jordan Jr., George R. Jordan, Robert A. Jordan, and Thomas S. Jordan. Survivors include her daughter Kathleen (Pat Stricklin) Uekman of Little Rock; son Brian(Carla) Short of Bauxite; grandchildren, Lindsay (Matt) Missildine; Morgan Ann Uekman, McKenzie Ann Short, Gracie Nicole Short, Landon Dean Short, and Brandon Dean Short, one great-granddaughter, Avrian Missildine; sisters, Margaret Hare, and Clara Sowry; one brother, Donald Jordan; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Jordan; and a host of nieces and nephews, and additional family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander, under the direction of Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock.
