JIM F. HARRIS, 56, of Little Rock, passed away on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, after a courageous battle with Huntington's Disease. He put up a gallant fight taking "one day at a time." Jim was born on Nov. 11, 1953, in Crossett, Ark. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas. Jim had a passion for hunting, cars, music and radio. He became a disc jockey at age 16, which led to a career in media advertising and even his own business, AdVentures of Arkansas. He will be missed by his wife, Patty, and their two children, Hannah Deeter (Joe), of Jonesboro and Caleb Harris of Little Rock. He is also survived by a brother, David Harris (Yolenda), of Bossier City, La.; sister, Vernelle Hollis (Glen) of Hamburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Maude Harris. A celebration of his life will be held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300 on Nov. 1, 2010, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Cross Road Cemetery in Hamburg, Ark. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 31, from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family expresses gratitude to Baptist Hospice, and especially to long-term caregivers Linda Summers and Shawn Burrough.
