Jo Etta Pewitt-Brennan passed away on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010 at 11:35 p.m. Beloved wife of the late James Francis Brennan. Loving mother of Michael Patrick Brennan. Sister of Joy Lynn Cross and the late Judy C. Westberry. Daughter of the late Eleanor Herndon and Harry Pewitt. Also survived by a niece, a nephew, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Brennan was a retired Histo Pathology Technologist from Charity Hospital New Orleans, La. after 30 years of service, former Vice President of the Republican Women's Club of Jefferson Parish, an active Parishioner of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, where she served as a member of the choir, the Upreach 55 Club, loved to cook, was well known for her pumpkin bread donations and will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Aged 74 years, a native of Detroit Michigan, former resident of Monticello, Arkansas and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 49 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass from St. Augustine's Episcopal Church 3412 Haring Rd. Metairie, on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in St. Augustine's Memorial Garden. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Augustine's Episcopal Church 3412 Haring Rd. Metairie, Louisiana 70006 in Mrs. Brennan's name. Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
