Larry "Birdie" Gibson, age 63, of Cabot, passed away Oct. 28, 2010. He was born June 14, 1947 in England, Ark. to the late Jeff and Josephine Gibson. He is also preceded in death by one sister Betty Davis. Birdie worked for Gurdon Industries retiring after 20 years. The last 17 years he was employed at Remington Arms. He served as a Deacon at Old Austin Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for special education classes. He is survived by his wife Wanda Witcher Gibson of the home; daughter Anna Denise Gibson-Foster (Chris); three sons Jeff Gibson (Heather), Wendell Floyd Gibson (Rhonda) and Gregory Leon Gibson (Kristi) all of Cabot; three sisters Barbara Starke of Wisconsin, Ruby Klino and Rachel Brown of Cabot; three brothers Charles Finney of Wisconsin, Johnny Gibson of Cabot and Thomas Gibson of Paris; eight grandchildren Ricci Brooke of Ward, Paige, Jared, Blake, Courtney, Bailey, Emily and Walker Gibson all of Cabot; two aunts Lorene Parish of Bentonville and Mildred Limbaugh of Bryant; along with many other family members and friends. Visitation will be 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010 at Old Austin Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 at Old Austin Baptist Church with interment immediately following at Old Austin Cemetery.
