Hilda Richardson

Hilda Richardson of Little Rock passed away June 15, 2011. She was born May 7, 1923 to the late Amos H. Richardson and Pattie Florence McSwain Richardson. Hilda joined Henderson United Methodist Church in June 1934. She dearly loved the church and her church family. She volunteered at the church doing little jobs and big jobs, it didn't make any difference, she knew she was working for the Lord and that was a great enjoyment. She held several offices at the church and served on committees in the church, the United Methodist Women, and her Sunday School Class. She attended Little Rock High School. Hilda enjoyed sewing, at first it was a hobby and then she sewed for the public. She loved flowers and was a whiz on working crossword puzzles. Hilda made a delicious Dutch Apple Pie and was recognized in a bake-off for her cheese cookies. Her cookies were some of the best from Arkansas. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Haynes Richardson and Edward Richardson, and her aunt, Mrs. Lenora McSwain Sisell. She leaves to cherish her memory her one and only sister, Patricia Richardson. Extended family includes sisters-in-law, Dorothy Richardson and Mary Richardson. Hilda touched many lives and will be missed by all. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday June 17th, 2011 at Henderson United Methodist Church, 13000 W. Baseline Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210. The service will be conducted by Reverend Kevin Lyon. Burial will be at Pinecrest Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are: Nancy, Florence, Patti, Robert, Jennifer, Ashley, Stephanie, Zachary, Michael, Matthew, Mitchell, Riley, Delaney, Wyatt, and Olivia.
