Jane P. Lee

Jane P. Lee, 82, of White Hall, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at home. Born in Pine Bluff on April 3, 1929, a daughter of the late Harvey C. Sr. and Mattie Mae "Macie" Johnson Pierce. She attended Pine Bluff schools. She married William A. Lee Jr. in Pine Bluff Aug. 12, 1944. After 64 years of marriage, Mr. Lee went to meet the Lord in 2008. Mrs. Lee was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister and friend. She was also a supportive grandmother and great-grandmother and a faithful Christian woman. The lifelong Jefferson County resident worked for Sears Roebuck and Company for six years and Pine Bluff Federal Credit Union for five years. An active member of Hardin Baptist Church, she taught the Truth Seeker's Sunday School Class for many years and actively worked on many youth activities. She served on the Deacon's Screening Committee, Flower Committee, Nominating Committee, was a Senior Citizen's volunteer and member of WMU. Survivors include four sons, Randy Lee and wife Liz of Midwest City, Okla., Eddie Lee and wife Jeanine of Padukah, Kent., Ricky Lee and wife Nancy of White Hall, Mike Lee and wife Leslie of Hendersonville, Tenn.; daughter, Kay Werninger of Little Rock; brother, Harvey C. "Bud" Pierce of Pine Bluff; sisters, Willie Von Morgan of Rison, Ark., Rena Mae Triplett of Pine Bluff; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Lindsey and Nona Huntley. Services are Tuesday, 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Rev. Rudy Davis officiating. Interment follows in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, 4-6 p.m. at Robinson's. Memorials are requested to Hardin Baptist Church, 300 Todd Lynn Drive, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71602.
