Desaree C. Mauldin

Desaree C. Mauldin of Little Rock departed this life at Hospice Home Care on May 3, 2011. She was an active member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, until her health failed. She was a retired Realtor and retired from Alexander Youth Services after 28 years of dedicated service. She was an active member of the Granite Mountain Neighborhood Association. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Eddie L. Mauldin; two daughters, Edrizal Atkins of Columbus, OH and Cathy Sims (Melvin) of LR; three granddaughters, Leslie Stone (Calvin) of Houston, Texas, Rhonda Atkins and Mackenzie Sims of LR; one great-great-granddaughter, Lauryn Roberts; two brothers, John Milton Cotledge and Paul Wane (Carrie) of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Georgia M. Jones of Princeton, N.J.; one son-in-law, Kirk Atkins (Sonya) of Imperial, Calif.; a special and dear friend, Jessie M. Garrett and her special caregiver, Artelia Bradley.Special thanks to Dr. Victoria Akins, Hospice Home Care and staff, and the Mt. Pleasant Church Family. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, May 7, 2011, 11 a.m., at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Daisy L. Gaston Bates Dr. & Ringo St., LR. Interment will follow at Rest In Peace Cemetery, Hensley, Ark. Viewing will be Friday, May 6, 2011, 3-6 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305.
