Dorothy Vaughn

Dorothy Eller Vaughn of North Little Rock passed away on Sunday, May 1st at the age of 97. She was born January 17, 1914, to the late Vernon (Boone) and Stella Eller of Stratton, Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska and taught school for several years in rural Nebraska. During World War II, she worked in an ordinance plant in Denver, Colorado. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, E. Sidney Vaughn Jr., and by her brother, Don Eller of Trenton, Nebraska. She is survived by two sons, Sid and wife Wendy of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Scott and wife, Janice of North Little Rock. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Kristen Olson of Ithaca, New York and Emily Vaughn of North Little Rock and by brothers, Wade Eller of Boise, Idaho and Lynn Eller of Atlanta, along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2011 in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
