Gervis Marie Bradley

Mrs. Gervis Marie Bradley of Tuckerman, Arkansas departed this life Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Newport at the age of 71. She was born October 14, 1939 in Newport the daughter of Woodrow and Freeda Ailene (Northcutt) McKee. Mrs. Bradley worked as a bookkeeper for 43 years, working first at International Harvester in Newport for 23 years and then finishing her bookkeeping career working 20 years at Norandal. Mrs. Bradley truly enjoyed her life, cultivating her talents as an artist by oil painting and sewing, enjoying the outdoors by growing flowers, and most of all enjoying time spent with family, friends and caring for animals. She was known for her kind and generous spirit. Mrs. Bradley enjoyed remembering her many friends and acquaintances at Christmas. She had a great love for animals and showed that love by her support of the Humane Society from whom she adopted her beloved pet, Caycee. Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jerry Wayne Bradley, of the home; one brother Michael Kelly McKee and his wife, Kathy, whom Mrs. Bradley loved as a sister, of Little Rock; two sisters-in-law, Betty Powell of Texarkana and Kathleen Bradley of Newport; five nieces and nephews, Mackie Carpenter, Darrell L. Powell, Rickey Bradley, Karen Jones, and Latresa Powell; her lifelong friend, Bobbie Armstrong Hutchinson; and her beloved companion of ten years, Caycee. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jackson‘s Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Gracelawn Cemetery in Tuckerman with Rev.
