James Cecil "J.C." Woodard, 91, passed away May 3, 2011. He was born March 11, 1920 in Bowie County, and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Brooks Hayes Bible class at Second Baptist Church. J.C. retired from Choctaw, Inc. He loved country music, horses and sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mattie Woodard and a brother, Nolan Woodard of DeKalb, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lillian Lawrence Woodard; daughter, Patricia Albert and husband Jim of Little Rock; a son, Paul of Tallahassee, Florida; four grandchildren, Mark Albert, Tracie Albert Sugg and husband Brian of Little Rock and Adrianne and Libby Woodard of Tallahassee; two great-grandchildren, Devin and Bryce Sugg; sisters, Nell Hefner and Jean Roach of Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, Friday, May 6, 2011 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501) 224-8300, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel.
