Ray Moseley

Ray Moseley, 82 of Gurdon, Ark. died Friday, May 6, 2011 in Arkadelphia, Ark. Mr. Moseley was born Jan. 12, 1929 in Chidester, Ark. to Joseph Floyd and Daisy Bell Moseley. He was a US Army veteran, retired truck driver, and also a long time school bus driver for Gurdon schools and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gurdon. Ray was preceded in death by his mother and father; two sisters; and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Billie Moseley of Gurdon, Ark.; two daughters, Brenda and John Strachan of Gurdon, Ark. and Nancy and Doug Purifoy of Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, John Moseley of Louisiana and Charles Moseley of Oregon; two sisters, Mae Blount of Emmet, Ark. and Ruth Perkins of Malvern, Ark.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Pharr Funeral of Gurdon between the hours of 5-7 p.m. Church services will be Monday, May 9, 2011 in the First Baptist Church of Gurdon at 10 a.m. with Bro. Kenneth Bobo officiating. Interment to follow in Rosehedge Cemetery, Gurdon, Arkansas under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Gurdon.
