Wilma Alletag Barnhart, 82, died on Mother's Day, May 8, 2011, at Robinson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Little Rock. Wilma was born on August 1, 1928, in North Little Rock to Frank and Minnie Alletag. She was a devoted daughter and lovingly took care of both parents until they passed away. Wilma married later in life and had no children of her own. However, she held her many nieces and nephews close to her heart. Ms. Barnhart was a member of Levy United Methodist Church in North Little Rock since 1939. She participated in the Disciples Sunday School class until her declining health prevented her from regularly attending. She was also involved in the UMW for a time and received a pin for her membership. Wilma worked at J.T. Loyd Sporting Goods Company for 37 years as the head bookkeeper and accountant. After J.T. Loyd closed its doors, she worked off and on as a part time secretary and receptionist before retiring early. Wilma is survived by her sister-in-law, Elsie Alletag; 4 nieces and nephews and their spouses, Prentess, Jr. and Shane Alletag, Tracy and LaNelle Alletag, Tammie and Tracy Thames, Laurie and John Carr; nine great-nieces and nephews and their spouses; and seven great-great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Minnie Alletag; husband, Roy Barnhart; brother, Prentess Earl Alletag; and niece, Mikie Yoist. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Levy United Methodist Church of North Little Rock in Wilma's name. We celebrate Wilma's long and full life and feel blessed to have known and loved her. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11th, 2011 at Edgewood Cemetery, 4200 Division Street, North Little Rock, Ark. 72118.
