Oral J. Dortch

Oral J. Dortch, 85, of Hensley, passed away May 11, 2011. He was born February 20, 1926 in Poyen, Arkansas to the late Marvin and Ellie Mae Dortch. Oral worked for Reynolds Mining Company for over 34 years. He was an Army Veteran having served in 1st Signal Troop, 1st Calvery Division. He was preceded in death by his son, Lloyd Rae Dortch. Survivors, wife of 64 years, Mary Wilkerson Dortch of East End, sons, Dennis Dortch and Andy Dortch and wife, Terri, all of East End, daughters, Carolyn Herndon and husband, Buck of Alexander, Kathi Bergemann and husband, Jim, Monroe, Louisiana, Becky Cossey and husband, Larry, of East End, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Grandsons will be serving as Pallbearers. Chapel Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2:30 p.m., Friday with Bro. Robert Cossey officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery, East End. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service. Family Comments: We love you Pop, you will be missed by all.
