Florene Thomas VanZandt went to be with Jesus on May 11, 2011. She was born on May 7, 1919, and was a lifelong resident of England and Coy. She was a member of England First Baptist Church and longtime member of England Manor. Florene lived a life of service to others, her family, her twin sister, and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Walter Matthew and Vannie Henrietta Burkett Thomas; her husband of 56 years, Buford Gaston "Boots" VanZandt: brothers Otho Thomas, Otis Thomas (Infant), Arnold Thomas, J.C. Thomas and Don Thomas; sister, Montene and loving twin sister, Corene. She is survived by one brother, Dean Thomas of Arizona, one son, Bufford Ray VanZandt and wife Artamesa of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two daughters, Jeanette Horner and husband Dan of Findlay, Ohio and Vannie Lou Hayley and husband James of Little Rock; one grandson, Mike Horner of Findlay, Ohio; one granddaughter, Wendee Acthison and husband Jeremy of Findlay, Ohio; great-grandchildren Tyler and Shelbee and twins Hunter and Sydnee. She also had many nephews, nieces, and friends. Services will be by Wilson Funeral Home of England on Monday May 16th, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday May 15th from 3-5 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mulberry Cemetery of England.
