Frances Dessilee Hudson

Frances Dessilee Hudson, age 85, died May 13, 2011. She was a member of St. Charles First missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Hudson is preceded in death by husband, r.C. "Son" Hudson; son, Edward Hudson; two daughters, Carol Hudson and Paula Hammond; granddaughter, Tammy Merritt; brother, Pete Engle; and parents, Noah and Rosa Brinker. Survivors include seven children, Joyce Strain of St. Charles, Ark., Nancy Cooper of Pryor, Okla., Ruby Martin of Lavaca, Ark., Robert Hudson of Lexa, Ark., Gary Hudson of Helena-West Helena, Ark., James David Hudson of Hot Springs, Ark., Richard Hudson of Woodlawn, Tenn.; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m., at Essex Funeral Home, DeWitt, Ark. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at St. Charles First Missionary Baptist Church, Bro. Todd Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home.
