Iva Maxine Miller

Iva Maxine Miller, 87, of Kingsland, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. John's Place in Fordyce. She was born Sept. 10, 1923 in New Edinburg, Ark. She was a member of Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church and a retired school teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Horatia Sims and Percillia Josephine Langford Sims; seven brothers, Pete Sims, Alfred "Huckleberry" Sims, Lester Sims, Vester Sims, Lewis Sims, Grover Sims and C.V. Sims; one sister, Kathleen Sims. She is survived by her husband, Hugh Miller of Kingsland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Mike Brown of Crosby, Texas, Kay and Mike Aist of Cabot; three brothers, Roland Sims of Newark, Texas, Arling Sims of Osceola, Harold Dean Sims of Kingsland; four grandchildren, Bryan Brown and wife Dahlia of Houston, Callie Ham and husband Garrett of Bentonville, Jason Aist and Brandon Aist both of Cabot. Visitation will be Sunday 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Hebron United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Bolin officiating.
