Henrietta Catherine Stanley

Henrietta Catherine (Kathy) Stanley, age 72, of Conway, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011. She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway and was previously a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Catholic Church in Marche. She was preceded in death by infant son James W Stanley III, parents Ben and Theresia Wankum, and mother-in-law Katherine Stanley. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James W Stanley Jr.; one son James Michael and wife Diane of Conway; daughter Karen Case and husband Buddy of Enola; grandchildren, Chad and Crystal Jones, Christopher Rowland, Eric Beavers, Brandon and Brittany George, Amber Jett, Natalie Porter, and Chelsea Case; great-grandchildren, Cherokee Jones, Adia Porter, and Kylie Jett; father-in-law Woodrow Stanley of North Little Rock and brother Joe Wankum of Conway. Kathy lived a full life, raising her children in Texas, Oklahoma, and Belgium, later also living in Puerto Rico and California before returning to Arkansas to live in North Little Rock, then Maumelle, and finally Conway. For a number of years in Maumelle, she was active with the Newcomers, Bunco, Bridge, and Mahjong Groups and the Friends of the Library (CALS). In Marche, she was active in greeting new members at IHM. She enjoyed traveling widely with her husband, until her illness kept her closer to home, where she enjoyed helping care for her great-granddaughter as long as she was able. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway with Father John Marconi as celebrant. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph Mausoleum. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 16, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home with visitation following until 9 p.m. Online guest book: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
