David T. Hubbard

David T. Hubbard, 69, of Fort Smith, died Monday, May 16, 2011. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he previously served as an Elder. He was a graduate of Hendrix College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also received a Masters in Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. David worked for over 40 years in the legal profession and retired as an Administrative Law Judge. His hobbies included playing tennis and reading. He is survived by Amanda, his wife of 43 years; a son, Trent and his wife Elizabeth of Little Rock; a grandson, Zach of Little Rock; a brother, Charles G. Hubbard and his wife Carolyn of Fort Smith; a sister, Harriet Renner of Denver, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Shirley Provencher and her husband Bob, of Cottondale, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles T. and Katherine Hubbard, and a sister-in-law, Helen Howard. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011, with The Reverends Tom Cutting and Steve Merrin officiating. Interment will be in the First Presbyterian Columbarium. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.
