Jessie Ann Hutcheson Marlar

Jessie Ann Hutcheson Marlar, age 84, of Willisville, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in Sheridan, Arkansas. She was born June 4, 1926, in Stamps, Arkansas, the youngest child of Jesse and Roxie Hutcheson. She was married to T.A. (Tim) Marlar for almost 59 years. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, Mam-ma and neighbor. She co-owned and operated a grocery store in Willisville for many years. She loved to garden, work in her yard, sew, and fish with Tim until his death in 2002. She was a member of the Willisville United Methodist Church and served as treasurer for 37 years and pianist for almost as many. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Marlar was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Clara Hutcheson and Bess Walker; her brother, Allen Hutcheson; and her husband, Tilman Marlar. She is survived by her sister, Mary Doolittle, of Shreveport, Louisiana, her children and their spouses, Anita and Larry Dickerson of Melbourne, Florida, Albert and Pam Marlar of Sheridan, Arkansas, and Amber and Robert Kenny of Delray Beach, Florida; her five great grand-daughters, Christy Pugh, Shiloh Marlar, Maris, Corinne and Emma Kenny; her grandson, Jeffrey Dickerson, and three great-grand daughters and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the Willisville United Methodist Church with Bro. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial will be at the Willisville United Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes in Stamps, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas.
